===처방===
  * I will give you a shot. (an injection) 주사 한 대 놓겠습니다.
  * How many days do I have to stay in bed? 며칠 정도 안정해야 합니까? 
  * How many times and how many tablets should I take? 얼마만에 몇 알씩 복용해야 합니까?
  * How many tablets am I supposed to take at a time? 한 번에 몇 알씩 먹어야 합니까?
  * How often should I take this? 이걸 몇 번 복용합니까?

* Am I going to be all right soon? 곧 괜찮아 질까요?
  * How long will it take before I recover? 얼마나 있어야 나을까요?

====Have====
have는 eat나 drink를 대신해서 잘 쓴다. 그러나 "약을 먹다, 혹은 복용하다"는 take 를 쓴다.

> Take these pills after meal(식사 후에 이 알약들을 복용 하세요.)

"~가 아프다" 고 말할 때는 have 를 주로 쓴다.

> I have pain in my shoulder. (어깨가 아파요)
> I have chills. (오한이 나요)

"~가 아프세요?"라고 물어볼 때도 have를 주로 쓴다.
대답은 물론 Yes I have 혹은 No I haven't식으로 하면 된다.

>  Do you have a cold(감기에 걸렸어요?)
>  Do you have any pain(어디가 아프세요?)
>  Do you feel chilly?(한기를 느끼세요?)

체온을 얘기 할 때 우리나라는 "섭씨(Centigrade)"를 사용하지만 외국에서는 "화씨(Fahrenheit)"를 사용한다.

> I have a temperature of 40 degree Celsius.

*  병실을 한 바퀴 돌아보자 는 Let's make a round of the ward 이다.
  *  중환자는 Intensive care Patient로 가능하지만 문어적인 표현이며, 회화에서 중환자는 Patient who is serious case 혹은 Patient on the danger list 이다.
  *  입원료 : Hospital expenses
  * 입원수속 : hospital admission procedures
  *  입원환자 : inpatient 
  * 장기입원환자 : long-stay patient
  *  의료보험 : medical insurance
  * 의료보험 혜택 : medical insurance benefits
  * 의료보험 혜택자 : beneficiaries of medical insurance
  * 의료보험조합 : medical insurance union

Catch (get) a cold는 "감기 들다/걸리다"를 말하는 상태의 변화를 이야기 하는 것이고, have a cold는 "감기가 걸려있다"는 상태를 말하는 표현이다.

"의사에게 진찰받다"는 뜻의 영어는 See a doctor 이다.

make an appointment 는 "예약을 하다" have an appointment 는 "예약을 해 둔 상태"를 의미한다.

prescription은 처방전이라는 뜻인데 의사가 처방한 약(medicine which a doctor orders for you) 이라는 뜻도 있다. 그러니까 take this prescription은 "이 처방 약을 복용하라"는 뜻이다.

*  의사를 Doctor 혹은 medical man이라고 하며 속어로 Doc. 이라고 줄여 쓰기도 한다. 주로 내과 의사를 Physician, 외과 의사를 surgeon 이라고 한다. 내과 외과 일반을 담당하는 GP General Practitioner 의 약자이다.

*  주먹을 쥐다는 Clench One's fist (쥐었던 손을 펴다는 Open One's hand 이다.)

*  몸을(허리를)를 펴다는 stretch(straighten, unbend) oneself, 몸을(허리를)를 구부리다는 bend one's back / bend forward 이다.  팔을 펴다는 Stretch your arm.

====감기(Cold)====

> What's the matter? (어디가 아프십니까?)
>  I'm afraid I caught a cold. I have a fever and lasting cough. (감기가 든 것 같습니다. 열이 있고 기침도 납니다.)
>  I'll prescribe some medicine for your cold. You should rest and stop smoking for a few days.    (감기약의 처방전을 써 드리겠습니다. 2,3 일 쉬시고 담배도 끊으셔야겠습니다.

의사가 써 준 처방전(Prescription)을 갖고 약국(Drugstore or Pharmacy)에 가면 처방전을 보고 약을 지어줍니다.

====목(NECK) 부위 영어표현====

보통 목을 말할 때는 목구멍(throat)을 말하는데 편도선(tonsil)과는 다르게 표현한다. throat는 목구멍 즉 식도를 말하고 편도선(tonsil)은 사람의 입속 양쪽구석에 하나씩 있는 평평하고 타원형인 임파선(lymphatic gland)을 말한다.

*  가래(phlegm, sputum)는 침(saliva)과는 성질이 다른데 묽은 가래는 thin sputum, 된 가래는 thick sputum,피 섞인 가래는 bloody phlegm로 표현한다.
  *  Do you have a sore throat?(목이 아프십니까?)
  *  I have a sore throat.(목이 아픕니다.)
  *  My throat feels raw.(목이 쓰라립니다.)
  *  I have an irritated throat.(목이 따금따금 거립니다.)
  *  My throat hurts when I swallow.(삼킬 때 목이 아픕니다.)
