======고리(루프)를 하고 있는데 임신이 되었다면? (IUD Pregnancy)======

[[iud]]는 다른 방법에 비해 성공률이 높고 효과적인 [[피임]] 방법이다. 하지만, 드물지 않게 고리가 자궁내에 있으면서도 임신이 되는 경우가 있다.

보고에 따라 다르지만 일반적인 구리재질 고리의 경우 0.6 ~ 8%의 실패(임신) 확률이 있고, 홀몬루프 ([[med:mirena|]])의 경우 0.2~2%의 실패 가능성이 있다고 한다.

초기에 발견되면 **문제 없이 제거**가 가능할 수 있다.

임신 12주 이내라면 제거 하는 것이 권장되며, 그 이후는 제거하지 않는 것이 좋다.

임신 12주가 넘으면, 자궁과 아기가 커지면서 태반과 자궁근육층사이에 고리가 박혀버리는 경우가 많아서 꺼낼때 문제가 생길 소지가 많다.

If pregnancy occurs with an IUD in situ, removal of the IUD to avoid the risk of miscarriage, preterm delivery and infection is recommended by the UKSPR.[EL = 4]
RECOMMENDATIONS Women with an intrauterine pregnancy with an IUD in situ should be advised to have the IUD removed before 12 completed weeks’ gestation, whether or not they intend to continue the pregnancy".

The NHS Clinical Knowledge Summary adds:
"The reason for recommending that a copper intrauterine device (IUD) not be removed if the gestational age is more than 12 weeks is that:

It is believed that after this time, the gestational sac occupies the whole of the uterine cavity, and removal would endanger the pregnancy.
Threads are more likely to be visible in the first trimester than later; in the second trimester, threads are unlikely to be visible unless the device is at the lower pole of the uterus or in the endocervical canal."
