====== /etc/hosts  ======

리눅스에서 호스트명을 IP로 변환할 때 참조 하는 파일. [[tech:dns|DNS]]보다 윗 순위이다.

오래전에
인터넷 없이 자체 DNS 없이 내부망에 여러 서버들을 사용할 때 IP 주소를 외우기 힘들기 때문에 서버들에 이름을 붙여서 자신의 hosts 파일에 등록 해두고 많이 사용을 했었습니다.
