모드 (The Ultimate Fallout: New Vegas Mod List 2017 )

A list of the best mods of Fallout: New Vegas.

Stuff you should do before installing mods

By default, it's located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas.

Mod managers

  • Nexus Mod Manager (NMM) -
(Made for Skyrim but works for Fallout: New Vegas too.)
  • Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) - 대안. 더 유용한 기능 such as : Fail-safe Mod Installs, 4GB launcher support, Low-Level Editing Tools, TESsnip, BSA Creator/Unpacker, and Shader Editor.

Other utilities

  • The Load Order Optimisation Tool (LOOT) - This mod automatically sorts your load order so you don't have to worry about handling a large load order manually. This tool may not work with every mod, but it's highly recommended that you use it and, if needed, manually change your load order later.

Mods for other mods

mods which are required for most mods on this list

  • FNV 4GB Patcher - Allows the game to use 4 GB of RAM, which will make the game run more smoothly when using several mods, as well as reducing the number of potential crashes.
  • Mod Configuration Menu (MCM) - Adds a menu that allows you to edit the settings of many mods in-game. Whilst it's not required by most mods, a lot of mods need MCM to allow you to change their settings.

General must-have mods

These are mods which don't affect graphics or gameplay and should be installed by anyone.

  • CASM - Adds a variety of auto-saves, full saves, and more.

Performance mods

mods which improve the game's performance

Gameplay mods

mods which enhance the gameplay by improving the game's existing features

  • Project Nevada (PN) - Adds lots of features, improves already-existing features, adds new weapons, and much more. This mod is highly configurable; it allows you enable, disable, and remap virtually every feature in this mod.
  • Project Nevada - Extra Options - An extension to Project Nevada which adds even more features to the mod, as well as fixing bugs related to the mod.
  • Project Nevada Patches - A variety of patches for Project Nevada, for Fallout: New Vegas's DLC, Essential Visual Enhancements, Weapon Mod Expansion, and Weapon Mods Expanded.
  • Weapon Mods Expanded - Heavily improves the weapon modding system: allows every weapon in the game to have up to three mods, adds weapon mods to the world's randomly generated loot, allows merchants to sell more weapon mods, allows you to add some weapon mods to multiple different weapons, and more.
  • More Perks - Adds a large amount of new perks, traits, and companion perks. (For some reason, the DLC patches available amongst the optional files of this mod breaks the game, so it may be incompatible with a mod or mods on this list.)
  • Collision Meshes - Fixes object hitboxes so you can shoot through most fences, windows, etc.
  • Light Step ED-E - Removes ED-E's invisible legs. (It no longer sets off traps and mines.)
  • Delay DLC - Prevents being flooded with DLC notifications when starting a new playthrough.
  • Quick Trade - Allows you to trade with merchants by right-clicking, rather than clicking through several dialogue options.
  • Improved Transportalponder - The Transportalponder from Old World Blues now teleports you back to where you originally were in the Mojave instead of the drive-in. It also teleports companions.
  • Immersive Minigames - Allows you to pick locks and hack terminals regardless of your Lockpick and Science levels. Also adds indicators to the HUD and more.
  • Useful Misc Items (UMI) - Allows you to scrap useless misc. items for useful crafting parts.

GUI/HUD mods

mods which improve the game's graphical user interface or head-up display

  • Vanilla UI Plus - Improves the GUI in various ways, including fitting more lines on the screen. When installing, you can also choose to re-map certain keys, such as the key used to take everything in a container, in order to prevent you from accidentally taking everything in a container.
  • Fallout 4 Quickloot - Adds a Fallout 4-style quick looting menu when looking at containers. (Allows you to loot containers without opening a menu.)
  • Loot Menu - Adds a menu which allows you to loot containers without opening a menu. (Incompatible with Fallout 4 Quickloot; only use one of them.)

Graphics mods

mods which improve the game's graphics or visual effects

  • NMCs Texture Pack - A big re-texture mod which improves nearly all of the game's textures. This mod has three different versions: a small version (for low-end PCs), a medium version (for mid-range PCs), and a large version (for high-end PCs). (The large version severely impacts performance, even on powerful computers, and may cause memory leaks, so the medium version is recommended.)
  • Pip-Boy 3000 Retexture - Higher-resolution vanilla Pip-Boy model. (Not compatible with mods that change the model of the Pip-Boy–may also be incompatible with the 'Faster Pip-Boy Faster' mod.)
  • Clarity - Removes the orange tint to the sky. (Incompatible with ENBs.)
  • Enhanced Grass - Makes grass and trees swing slightly more, as well as making them brighter based on the sun's location.
  • Nevada Skies - Adds tons of new weather effects and sky textures.

mods which add clutter, NPCs, plants, etc. to the game to make it feel more lively or immersive

  • Wasteland Flora Overhaul - Adds a bigger variety of trees and other plant life to the world, as well as improving the quality of the vanilla tree textures.
  • Uncut Wasteland - Re-adds scenery clutter to the game world which was initially removed to improve performance for console players world. This mod makes the world feel a little more realistic and less empty. It also (optionally) re-adds removed NPCs.

Immersion mods

mods which makes the game more realistic and immersive, mostly by affecting gameplay

  • Underwater FX - You can no longer see perfectly clear underwater unless you're wearing goggles.
  • Improved Companion SandBox - Adds a 'sandbox mode' for companions so that they relax and go sit on chairs, walk around, and otherwise interact with the environment.
  • Active Wasteland - Adds new functions to items that don't have any. For instance, it allows you to turn lamps on or off, tell the current time with clocks, and more.
  • Helpless Falling - If you fall from to high up you body goes into ragdoll state.
  • Enhanced Camera - Allows you to see your hands and feet when looking down and doesn't force you to enter third-person view when sitting down.
  • DLC Weapon Integration - Adds the DLC weapons into the main game in a leveled list so that NPCs can use them.
  • Tutorial Killer - Removes the tutorial messages that appear after starting a new playthrough.
  • Better New Vegas - Adds new streets, vehicles, scenery clutter, and more. Also fixes some sound effects.
  • Near Death - Incapacitates human NPCs when below 10% health, giving you the option to open their inventory, enslave them, and more.

Hardcore mods

mods which severely increase the game's difficulty (not recommended for new players)

  • BLEED - Improves all forms of damage to make fights more realistic.
  • Realistic Currency Weights - Adds weight to Pre-war Money, bottlecaps, NCR dollar bills, and more. (Do not use with 'Bottlecaps have Weight.')
  • Gun Behavior Mod Merge - Makes gunplay more realistic with manual reloading, increased weapon jamming, muzzle flash, and more.
  • No Fast Travel - New Vegas - Simply disables fast travel. This mod works well with the Speed-E Wheels Travel Systems mod below. (Unnecessary if you use Project Nevada: Rebalance.)

These mods are not compatible with one another.

  • Pip-Boy 2500 - Handheld Pip-Boy model from Fallout and Fallout 2.

Miscellaneous Pip-Boy mods

  • CONELRAD 640-1240 - Adds a brand new radio station with 55 new songs and 29 new public service announcements.

Sound effect and music mods

Stealth mods

  • Project Ultimatum - Allows you to force an enemy to surrender, inject someone with a drug, enslave someone, push someone, and more.
  • Cover Based Stealth Mechanics - Makes enemies have worse peripheral vision but enhanced vision over long distances. Also allows you to peek around corners (if you install the optional True Leaning file).

  • Plane Wreck - Adds a player home inside a crashed plane on top of a bridge.

Improvements to existing player homes

Level mods

Project Nevada

Rebalance adds all the features of the following mods (although optional), so if you have Project Nevada and did not untick the 'Rebalance' option, installing either mod is not necessary.

  • Perk per Level - Level Cap at 100 - Increases the level cap to 100 and gives you a perk per level, rather than a perk every other level. This does make the game a lot easier, though.
  • Max Level Adjustment - Simply increases the level cap to 50, 60, 75, 100, or 255 (depending on which version you download). (Do not use with the above mod, 'Perk per Level - Level Cap at 100.')

Miscellaneous mods

  • OneTweak - Allows the game to run in borderless windowed mode, as well fixing a bug concerning the cursor.
  • Console Rebind - Allows you to rebind the console key and/or disable the original key. Useful if you have bound the key you use for the console to something else, don't like the default console key, or don't want to accidentally open the console.
  • Better Startup Screens - Replaces the startup logo screens with higher-resolution and more minimalistic ones.
  • Flashlight NVSE - An in-depth and configurable mod which adds a variety of flashlight items.
  • Star Caps With Random Luck - When you drink a Sunset Sarsaparilla, you have a chance to get a star cap, depending on your Luck stat.

(Incompatible with Nevada Skies and may be incompatible with other mods as well.)
