• NMCs Texture Pack - A big re-texture mod which improves nearly all of the game's textures. This mod has three different versions: a small version (for low-end PCs), a medium version (for mid-range PCs), and a large version (for high-end PCs). (The large version severely impacts performance, even on powerful computers, and may cause memory leaks, so the medium version is recommended.)

• Pip-Boy 3000 Retexture - Higher-resolution vanilla Pip-Boy model. (Not compatible with mods that change the model of the Pip-Boy–may also be incompatible with the 'Faster Pip-Boy Faster' mod.)

• Blue Waters For New Vegas - Makes water bluer.

• Burning Campfire - Lights up campfires.

• Clarity - Removes the orange tint to the sky. (Incompatible with ENBs.)

• Enhanced Grass - Makes grass and trees swing slightly more, as well as making them brighter based on the sun's location.

• Better Smoke and Ballistics - Improves gun muzzle flashes, smoke, and more.

• Interior Lighting Overhaul - Improves lighting in buildings.

• Enhanced Blood Textures - Adds higher-resolution blood textures.

• Weapon Retexture Project (WRP) - Improves the textures of several guns.

• Nevada Skies - Adds tons of new weather effects and sky textures.

• Bullet Impact Increased LOD - Allows you to see blood particles, concrete particles, and bullet impacts from further away.

• Enhanced Bullet Impact - Makes bullet impact effects more extreme.

• Cloth Impacts - Adds bullet holes and particles to cloth objects such as teddy bears and beds.

• Authentic Burned Man - Replaces the textures of Joshua Graham to make him look more realistic.

• EVE - Improves explosion effects, energy weapon textures, ballistic impacts, NPC reactions, and more.

• Fallout Character Overhaul (FCO) - Adds more detail to the faces of NPCs.

• HD Glass Impact Decals - Improves the textures of bullet holes on glass surfaces.

• HD Smoky Fire and Explosions - Improves the textures of fire and explosions. (Unnecessary if you use EVE.)

• Hectrol FX DUSTSTORM Deluxe HighRes Retex - Improves the quality of dust storms.

• HI-RES Chems and Health Re-Texture - Improves the textures of chems.

• Improved LOD Noise Texture - Improves noise textures at long ranges.

• Wasteland Clothing Hires retexture - Improves the textures of most apparel in the game. (Must be installed manually, although it's not difficult.)

• Better Lonesome Road Riot Gear Coats - Improves the appearance of the riot gear.

• NCR Trooper Overhaul - Improves the appearance of NCR troopers' armour.

mods which add clutter, NPCs, plants, etc. to the game to make it feel more lively or immersive

• Wasteland Flora Overhaul - Adds a bigger variety of trees and other plant life to the world, as well as improving the quality of the vanilla tree textures.

• More Grass - Adds more grass to the wasteland.

• Uncut Wasteland - Re-adds scenery clutter to the game world which was initially removed to improve performance for console players world. This mod makes the world feel a little more realistic and less empty. It also (optionally) re-adds removed NPCs.

• Vault 22 Flora Overhaul - Overhauls Vault 22 by adding lots of plant life.

• Book Diversity Project - Adds 176 new books models to the game.

• Populated Casinos - Adds more NPCs to casinos.

mods which makes the game more realistic and immersive, mostly by affecting gameplay

• Underwater FX - You can no longer see perfectly clear underwater unless you're wearing goggles.

• Improved Companion SandBox - Adds a 'sandbox mode' for companions so that they relax and go sit on chairs, walk around, and otherwise interact with the environment.

• Bottle That Water - Lets you bottle water. (Duh!)

• DFB - Random Encounters - Adds lots of (configurable) random encounters in the Mojave Wasteland.

• ELECTRO-CITY - Relighting the Wasteland - Adds lots of lights that light up the world.

• Active Wasteland - Adds new functions to items that don't have any. For instance, it allows you to turn lamps on or off, tell the current time with clocks, and more.

• Helpless Falling - If you fall from to high up you body goes into ragdoll state.

• Loot All Cars Trucks Golf Carts Vehicles - Allows you to loot vehicles.

• Enhanced Camera - Allows you to see your hands and feet when looking down and doesn't force you to enter third-person view when sitting down.

• DLC Weapon Integration - Adds the DLC weapons into the main game in a leveled list so that NPCs can use them.

• TmT - Open Broken Doors - Allows you to open broken doors.

• Tutorial Killer - Removes the tutorial messages that appear after starting a new playthrough.

• Better New Vegas - Adds new streets, vehicles, scenery clutter, and more. Also fixes some sound effects.

• Near Death - Incapacitates human NPCs when below 10% health, giving you the option to open their inventory, enslave them, and more.

mods which severely increase the game's difficulty (not recommended for new players)

• JSawyer Ultimate Edition - The ultimate hardcore mod, making the game harder in almost every aspect.

• BLEED - Improves all forms of damage to make fights more realistic.

• Imps More Complex Needs (IMCNNV) - Adds additional levels of nutrition in hardcore mode.

• Modified Combat Values (MCV) - Improves the combat mechanics for AI.

• Realistic Currency Weights - Adds weight to Pre-war Money, bottlecaps, NCR dollar bills, and more. (Do not use with 'Bottlecaps have Weight.')

• Bottlecaps have Weight - Makes bottle caps weigh 0.0100 each.

• Precision Ballistics and Munitions - Adds speed to ballistic weapons.

• Gun Behavior Mod Merge - Makes gunplay more realistic with manual reloading, increased weapon jamming, muzzle flash, and more.

• JIP Realistic Weapon Overheating - Adds an overheating mechanic to guns.

• Puce Moose Tweak and Balance Center - Adds many options to make the game more difficult.

• Realistic Weight Overhaul - Adds a weight to every single item in the game that doesn't have a weight.

• Enemy AI - Tactics - NPC Healing - Improves the AI of enemies: enemies heal themselves, take cover, and more.

• No Fast Travel - New Vegas - Simply disables fast travel. This mod works well with the Speed-E Wheels Travel Systems mod below. (Unnecessary if you use Project Nevada: Rebalance.)

• Alternative Fast Travel - Speed-E Wheels Travel Systems - Adds eleven stations across the world which allow you to travel to other stations, but they have to be repaired first.

These mods are not compatible with one another.

• Pip-Boy 2500 - Handheld Pip-Boy model from Fallout and Fallout 2.

• Parkerized Pip-boy - Black Pip-Boy model.

• CONELRAD 640-1240 - Adds a brand new radio station with 55 new songs and 29 new public service announcements.

• Shiloh DS - Clean Pipboy Screen - Gives you several options so you can alter how clean your Pip-Boy screen is.

• Extended Map Markers - Adds more map markers.

• FNV Classic Worldmap - Improves the appearance of the Pip-Boy map.

• Weapon Mod Menu - Improves the mod menu of the Pip-Boy. Allows you to remove weapon mods and shows more information about weapon mods.

• Fallout 1 and 2 ambient musics - Replaces the game's ambient soundtrack with those of Fallout and Fallout 2.

• No annoying crowd ambient sounds - Removes ambient crowd sounds when barely any NPCs are around.

• Combined Community Sound Pack - Improves the sound effects of nearly every weapon in the game.

• Project Ultimatum - Allows you to force an enemy to surrender, inject someone with a drug, enslave someone, push someone, and more.

• Cover Based Stealth Mechanics - Makes enemies have worse peripheral vision but enhanced vision over long distances. Also allows you to peek around corners (if you install the optional True Leaning file).

• Drags New Armor Pack - Adds a variety of new apparel and armour.

• Gas Masks of the World - Adds a variety of gas masks.

mods which add a new companion

• Four Legged Friends - Adds six canine companions.

• Niner - Adds a fully voiced companion with his own quest.

• Willow - Adds a fully voiced companion with her own quest.

mods which add new locations

• NVInteriors - Adds new interiors all over the game world. (I recommend using the following files: NVInteriors Core and NVInteriors_Combo Edition.)

• NVInteriors Rewritten - An extension to NVInteriors which improves the grammar and spelling in notes, terminals, etc. added by NVInteriors.

• A World Of Pain (AWOP) - Adds 114 locations filled with enemies and loot to the game.

• A World of Pain Voices - An extension to A World Of Pain. Adds voice acting to some of its characters.

• Mobile Truck Base - Adds a mobile player home in form of a truck that has the ability to fast travel around the map.

• Goodsprings Home - Adds a player home in Goodsprings.

• Water Tower Mini-Vault - Adds a small home inside a water tower.

• Plane Wreck - Adds a player home inside a crashed plane on top of a bridge.

• lianora's Awesomised Sink - Improves the Old World Blues player homes by adding clutter and furniture.

• NV Novac Apartment - Improves the Novak Motel player apartment.

Rebalance adds all the features of the following mods (although optional), so if you have Project Nevada and did not untick the 'Rebalance' option, installing either mod is not necessary.

• Perk per Level - Level Cap at 100 - Increases the level cap to 100 and gives you a perk per level, rather than a perk every other level. This does make the game a lot easier, though.

• Max Level Adjustment - Simply increases the level cap to 50, 60, 75, 100, or 255 (depending on which version you download). (Do not use with the above mod, 'Perk per Level - Level Cap at 100.')

• OneTweak - Allows the game to run in borderless windowed mode, as well fixing a bug concerning the cursor.

• Console Rebind - Allows you to rebind the console key and/or disable the original key. Useful if you have bound the key you use for the console to something else, don't like the default console key, or don't want to accidentally open the console.

• Continue After Games Ending (CAGE) - Allows you to keep playing after finishing the story quest line.

• Better Startup Screens - Replaces the startup logo screens with higher-resolution and more minimalistic ones.

• Loading Screens Replacer - Replaces loading and menu screen images with other images.

• New Vegas Uncut 1_2_3_4_5_7, * New Vegas Uncut 6 - If It Wasn't For Betsy Remastered, and * New Vegas Uncut Outside Bets - These are mods which add content to the game which had previously been removed from Fallout: New Vegas.

• Flashlight NVSE - An in-depth and configurable mod which adds a variety of flashlight items.

• Star Caps With Random Luck - When you drink a Sunset Sarsaparilla, you have a chance to get a star cap, depending on your Luck stat.

• FPS Weapon Wheel - Allows you to quickly change weapon using your mouse wheel.

• Further 3rd Person Camera - Doubles the distance you can move the third-person camera.

• Centered 3rd Person Camera - Centers the third-person camera. (Duh!)

• Companion Dress Up - Allows you to change the clothes of your companion.

• Cowboy Repeater without peep sight - Removes the obstructing sight of the cowboy repeater rifle.

• Ranger Helmet Neck Cover - Makes the Ranger helmet cover the characters' necks.

• Searchlight Airport NCR or Legion - An overhaul of the Searchlight Airport which changes the location to a NCR or Legion stronghold, with two new quests.

• Return of the Eyebots - Adds eyebots to the Mojave Wasteland.

• Melee Hotkey - Adds a hotkey which allows you to quickly use your melee weapon and immediately switch back to the weapon you were using.

• Grenade Key - Allows you to throw a grenade by pressing a key. (Unnecessary if you use Project Nevada: Rebalance.)

These are mods which overhaul the entire game and add lots of new content, including new quests. These mods are usually not compatible with one another and may not be compatible with the other mods on this list. Use at your own risk.

mods which add lots of new content, in addition to new quests

• After War Nevada - This mod lets you start the game as any faction. Adds new weapons, armours, foods, chems, and much more.

• Fallout - Project Brazil - This mods adds a brand new story with a unique intro, new companions, new quests (including a new story quest line), new radio stations, new locations, voice acted dialogue, and more.

• Fallout Who Vegas - Complete - This mod brings the Doctor Who universe into Fallout: New Vegas, with a detailed TARDIS (which can travel to any known coordinates–even to locations you've never visited before–has a large amount of corridors and rooms within, as well as having as a large number of interiors, modes, and more), unique quests, new enemies, new weapons, new gadgets, new foods, a regeneration system, space travel, space fights, and more. (Incompatible with Nevada Skies and may be incompatible with other mods as well.)

• Fallout Who Vegas - Xoanon's Additions and Fixes - An extension to Fallout Who Vegas - Complete. Fixes lots of bugs associated with the mod, as well as adding new features to it.

• Unofficial Regeneration Deuglifier for Fallout Who Vegas - Another extension to Fallout Who Vegas. Makes your player model look more attractive, as well as making its facial hair randomized, upon regenerating.

• Tale of Two Wastelands (TTW) - Merges Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, allowing you to freely travel between the two wastelands. (This mod requires a legal copy of Fallout 3 with all DLC.) (Not on Nexus Mods.) 폴아웃3하고 뉴베가스를 한꺼번에하는 모드가 있다. 일명 TTW 모드라고 불리며 뉴베가스 기반이다.
